Professor Wojtek Michalowski: Helping patients and physicians to follow evidence-based care

Talk will provide a general overview of a research conducted by the MET Research Group at the University of Ottawa in the area of medical informatics. It will present methodological foundations of a comprehensive decision support for physicians managing atrial fibrillation patients and for the patients at home to help with the adherence to anticoagulation therapy. Additional examples for some of healthcare operations projects conducted in the Ottawa area hospitals will be presented.

M.Sc.(Tech.) Yrjänä Hynninen will defend his dissertation "Model-based efficiency analyses of healthcare delivery" on 16 March 2018 at 12 noon at the Aalto University School of Science, lecture hall H304 (Otakaari 1, Espoo). Prof. Wojtek Michalowski from Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa, will act as the official opponent. 

Professor Ralph L. Keeney will give a public lecture entitled Value-Focused Decisions on Thu 18.1.2018 at 16:00-17:00 in lecture hall E (Otakaari 1).
