Master's theses are public documents

According to Finnish legislation, a master's thesis is a public document and its contents cannot be confidential. Therefore, the material of the thesis must be chosen so that it does not include any information that could be classified as a business secret.

The Systems Analysis Laboratory archives all theses on its website. If your thesis can be available for everyone, include either one the following texts to the cover page of your thesis::

"Työn saa tallentaa ja julkistaa Aalto-yliopiston avoimilla verkkosivuilla. Muilta osin kaikki oikeudet pidätetään."

"The document can be stored and made available to the public on the open internet pages of Aalto University. All other rights are reserved."

Otherwise, your thesis will be password protected.
