Years have gone by fast, and at the age of 68 and after 35 years in the professorship it is time to make a transition to the role of an Emeritus professor. I will continue academic work as an Emeritus professor and keep on supervising my doctoral students. I would be most delighted if you could take part in my farewell event organized on September 1st, 2016 at 1 pm in Hall B of the Aalto University, Otakaari 1 F. The speakers will include Director general of the Finnish Environment Institute Lea Kauppi, Governor of the Bank of Finland Erkki Liikanen, Vice President of the Aalto University Tuija Pulkkinen, as well as myself. Regrettably the event will be run in Finnish, but I hope you will be able to catch some of the contents anyway.
